Important questions to ask as you choose your venue...

So you’ve found the perfect spot...now what? Here are just a few important things to consider!

  • Can the space accommodate your full guest count?

  • Is there enough parking to either fit all your guests or allow for valet/shuttle transportation?

  • Are there noise ordinances or restrictions?

  • What would the rain back up plan be? *This one is super important to consider in our unpredictable Charleston climate!

  • Is there a food and beverage minimum, and do we have to use in-house caterers?

  • Are there decor restrictions? *Another key factor to consider, especially in Historic properties where candles or open flames may not be allowed, or hanging floral structures and draping aren’t able to be attached to walls and ceilings

  • Is there space at the venue for your bridal party to get ready?

  • Are any in-house items included in the rental price? (tables/chairs/linens). There are a lot of variables at every venue, but don’t get overwhelmed... This is where an experienced planner comes in! We remember the details and ask the important questions so you don’t have to!
